Belgian Government and Public Authorities Engage with Zelostech RoboVan at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges
Antwerp, Belgium, September 16, 2026 — Zelostech today welcomed representatives from Belgian government authorities, regulatory bodies and local public institutions to the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, where they experienced Zelostech’s RoboVan technology operating in a real-world port environment.
The visit marks an important moment for the development of autonomous logistics in Belgium, bringing together government, regulators, port authorities and technology companies around the future of autonomous mobility and intelligent logistics infrastructure.
As Belgium and Europe explore new pathways for the safe and scalable deployment of autonomous vehicles, the Port of Antwerp-Bruges is emerging as an important real-world environment for testing and advancing autonomous technologies. The port has positioned autonomous mobility as a key element of the Port of the Future, using its complex logistics environment to bring innovation from testing toward practical deployment.
From Innovation Demonstration to Strategic Infrastructure
During the visit, government and public-sector representatives had the opportunity to experience Zelostech RoboVans operating along the K102 route and to gain first-hand insight into how autonomous vehicles can be integrated into real logistics operations.
The demonstration goes beyond showcasing vehicle technology. It provides an opportunity for public authorities and industry stakeholders to explore the broader questions surrounding autonomous logistics — including safety, operational efficiency, infrastructure, regulation and the conditions required for large-scale deployment.

Belgium’s Role in the Future of Autonomous Logistics
The development of autonomous logistics is increasingly becoming a strategic issue for Europe, extending beyond individual vehicles to questions of transport efficiency, supply-chain resilience, industrial competitiveness, safety and sustainable growth. Belgium’s position as a major European logistics hub gives the country a unique opportunity to participate in this transition. The Port of Antwerp-Bruges connects global trade with one of Europe’s largest industrial and consumer markets, while its complex operating environment provides a valuable setting for testing emerging logistics technologies. The engagement of Belgian public authorities alongside leading technology and logistics companies demonstrates the importance of public-private collaboration in developing the autonomous mobility ecosystem.
At the European level, policymakers are also moving toward greater coordination around autonomous transport. In June 2026, EU transport ministers backed a cross-border initiative aimed at supporting the deployment of autonomous vehicle use cases, including freight and logistics.

Building a Long-Term Autonomous Logistics Ecosystem
The government and public-sector visit follows the launch of Europe’s first RoboVan Experience Center at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, established by Zelostech in collaboration with the Antwerp-Bruges Port Authority.
The Experience Center will remain open for the long term, with Zelostech RoboVans continuing to operate on the K102 route after the launch. This creates a continuous platform for government representatives, port stakeholders, logistics operators, and industry partners to experience autonomous logistics in practice.
