Europe’s First RoboVan to Receive a Y Test Plate
Belgium, September 2026 — Zelostech has received an official Belgian Y Test Plate for its RoboVan, making it the first RoboVan in Europe to receive the designation and marking a significant milestone in our European expansion.
The Y Test Plate brings our RoboVan into Belgium’s formal vehicle testing framework. With the required authorization from the relevant mobility authorities, the designation provides a regulatory pathway for conducting testing with automated vehicles and supports our next phase of validation on Belgian roads.
For Zelostech, this development marks continued progress from introducing autonomous logistics technology in Europe to testing, validating, and preparing it for local deployment.

From European Validation to Local Road Testing
Our European journey began in April 2025, when we deployed a Z5 RoboVan to the DigiTrans Test Center for Automated Driving in Austria. There, our vehicle underwent a structured five-stage evaluation covering safety, reliability, and integration with logistics operations. This gave us an important foundation for understanding how our RoboVan performs within European testing and operational environments.
We subsequently expanded our activities into the Netherlands, where we partnered with PuraMobi to explore autonomous logistics applications in controlled commercial environments, focusing on recurring goods movements across industrial and logistics sites.
Now, Belgium takes us another step forward.
With the Y Test Plate, we are moving beyond controlled validation environments and building the conditions for local road testing and real-world validation in Belgium.
Putting Our RoboVan to the Test in Belgium
Obtaining the Y Test Plate allows us to bring our autonomous driving capabilities into Belgium’s formal testing framework and evaluate our RoboVan in local operating conditions. This next phase will allow us to further assess how our technology performs across European road environments, while continuing to build the operational experience, safety evidence, and local partnerships needed for future deployment.
Our approach is straightforward: enter each market through rigorous validation, understand the local operating environment, and build toward commercial deployment step by step. We are bringing to Europe experience built through large-scale commercial deployment of autonomous logistics vehicles, with 30,000+ RoboVans active globally and 250M+ autonomous kilometers accumulated across more than 20 countries and 300+ cities.
Our RoboVans are designed specifically for logistics operations and are already being integrated into a wide range of real-world logistics environments. The focus now is to bring that experience into European operating conditions and continue demonstrating the reliability and scalability of our technology.
Building the Path to European Deployment
The European regulatory framework for automated vehicles is continuing to evolve. EU Regulation 2022/1426 provides a framework for the type approval of automated driving systems for fully automated vehicles, including defined use cases such as operation within specific areas and hub-to-hub routes with fixed start and end points.
For autonomous logistics, these use cases are particularly relevant. Many logistics operations follow recurring routes between defined locations such as warehouses, distribution centers, industrial sites, and logistics hubs.
Our work in Belgium is part of our global effort to build the technical, operational, and regulatory foundation for these applications.
From our first European validation in Austria, to pilot development in the Netherlands, and now formal road-testing readiness in Belgium, we are building our European presence market by market, validation by validation. The Y Test Plate marks the beginning of the next chapter, putting Zelostech RoboVans to work on European roads and building toward scalable autonomous logistics deployment across the continent.
